Derek Wilson

Mr. Wilson has served as Managing Partner since co-founding Galea Capital in 2023, where he oversees capital partner relationships, business development, and deal structuring.

Prior to this, he co-founded a single-family office specializing in private equity and private credit transactions. His experience includes playing a pivotal role in building a successful corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions practice from the ground up in 2011, which he remained part of until his departure in the summer of 2020. Before that, Mr. Wilson worked in the underwriting departments for a large multinational bank, where he managed the financial risk associated with guarantees and liability arising from insurance and investment services.
